Confirmed. Very crisp and detailed sound. I expect that the cushions will probably wear off a bit fast in warm and humid conditions, but in normal everyday surroundings I'm quite sure that these will live to see at least 10 years of use.

no-one will ever regret buying these headphones:
natural noise cancelling, plenty of bass, strong and clear midrange, crisp highs, amazing soundstage and built tough!. also Paul Kalkbrenner recorded his movie soundtrack using HD215's.

these will always be a classic set of cans, but ALWAYS use quality music source, as low quality mp3's etc will sound bad as the low quality will be distinctly heard now.
HD215 = 9.5/10

listening to crap music quality will just sound worse on these headphones as it is very accurate,it doesnt fail at highs or lows,with the 80$ price u get more than what u paid for, and overall u wont regret buying them at all

Was just given a pair of these to use and the range is fantastic, while there's a heavy sense of bass, the Mid to High is crisp. Also the classic feel of a pair of closed back headphones, and while these wouldn't be my first choice of Sennheiser's, their exceptionally good for the money.

These headphones are freaking AWESOME! Also low quality music like that from spotify-free sounds as good as it gets on these earphones.

no, but that isn't needed. these are dj headphones, and the phones lately know if headphones/earbuds have a mic. if it doesn't, the phone uses its own microphone on the same settings it will use when you put it on speaker.

Any headphones can be used for phone calls . Just plug them in and keep your phone close to you . Switch to headset and the phone will use it's own microphone while you here your conversation on headphones . It's not quite a handsfree set but it can be handy sometimes , when you need your both hands to work on something for example .

I have these headphones and have to admit that I was disappointed with the sound for what I paid, the sound can be heard by thirds so its not so closed, and I find the sound so raw, it doesnt envolve nor surrounds you with the sound.

i have it I dont find noise cancelling working as people can listen what im listening, pleanty of bass? I find the sound so raw with no bass at all, these headphones seems to remove the bass on any music, you can hardly hear it. I bought it and I will turn it back to the store still have 7 days for refund.

word ^^, a sound card (even a creative basic USB) will make them shine, if you're running onboard sound on PC then your HD215's are crippled. need decent sound source.

need a Sound Card, get a Creative anything and it will be good for any set of decent cans - onboard sound cripples HD215's. you don't realise as you're not hearing the comparison.
