Can someone please get on the London underground central line and tell me if they can hear their music on this?

Trusted Reviews gave the SanDisk Sansa E270 (which I now own) a recommended award, but on the above mentioned tube line, it's not much use!

@Williamn - it's called isolation headphones! If you're using headphones bundled with ANY MP3 player or phone you don't deserve to listen to anything ;)

Do a site search and get yourself a decent pair of Shure, Etymotic or Ultimate Ears earphones then use foam tips and you won't hear the Central Line WITHOUT the music even being on!!

Needs Media Player to work and doesn't recognise folders! So the only way to order your music is using the dreadful playlists in Media Player.

So mine is going back. Shame, renders what would otherwise be a great player practically useless.

@mark - nonsense! I drag and drop music into the 'music' folder (hard I know!) on mine and the player automatically works it all out. Couldn't be simpler. Think you have mixed something up.

If you do not have any information in the MP3 tags in your files the player has no information to work with.

I use MP3 Tag Tools which can be downloaded from the Sourceforge web site at this address http://sourceforge.net/projects/massid3lib. It works very well for me.

7/10 for sound quality?!

Every other review I've read tells me this thing has unbelievable sound quality. And having owned one for a month now, I can concur.

I always felt a bit underwhelmed by my Ultimate Ears super fi. 5 pro earphones, but when I swapped my £200 Archos 605 for my £20 Sandisk clip, I was blown away.

I would give them at least 9/10 for sound quality...

I didn't check out the date of this review, but since October 3rd 2008 (or around those days) the Sansa Clip also supports FLAC and OGG Vorbis, you should update that in my suggestion ;)

This latest SanDisk Sansa MP3 player is, in short, one of the best stocking fillers you could possibly hope to find this Christmas. Despite being slightly weak on format support, it is feature-packed and feels even a little luxurious in other respects. It's miles better than its main rivals, the Creative Zen Stone Plus and iPod Shuffle; so good, in fact, that you could even pass it off as a main present for the one you love, and save a bit of cash for the post New Year sales.
