The review does mention that the sound isn't that impressive and that's actually a pretty generous way of putting it. With my previous TV that was no issue - I just used external speakers with a small subwoofer. But with this TV a) the sound that comes through the external ports is delayed by the extra processing, so if you have both internal and external sound on, it echos, and anyway external sound doesn't synch to the picture properly and b) the TV remote doesn't control the external sound output, so now I need another remote control to play with as well, unless I want a room full of speakers and £300 less in my bank account for a Samsung Anynet+ home cinema system.
totally agree with the above comments. had to buy a tuner amp and two speakers at a cost of £290 to enhance the sound. even the which report understated the poor quality of the sound.
having said that, its a nice piece of furniture and the picture is excellent.
Hi, could you please confirm whether this TV does in fact have a 100HZ mode?
I have read on some places that it does, as here in your article and in others that it doesn't. The Samsung site itself does not have it within the specs -
