That's another almost from me. Am I the only person on the planet that wants a half decent phone without a contract that wouldn't require me to ask the IMF for a bailout if I was to buy it outright?

The screen is slightly smaller than desired but hey its half the price. I got mine on offer from orange £110. Use it PAYG and its costing less than £10 a month = 300 txts (free with top up) and 350mb (100 free with top up and 250 for £5). The android browser is pants and Opera is far more useful with a better user interface and multi tab browsing. The screen is very responsive and with good brightness and colour. It plays MP4 files well and you tube on wifi is pretty good. Sometimes the processer gets a bit bogged down but mostly it works well. Camera is avg. Phone and texting are good. Loads of free apps. Only downside is AngryBirds colours are off, so its nigh impossible to get past level 1, GPS is a bit slow getting a fix. I bought a class 6 8gb Samsung Micro SDHC for £17. Pretty good budget introduction to Android smartphones on a budget. You will want a bigger screen. A 3.8 would be perfect a 4 better.
