Although the image appears somewhat over-sharpened, the level of fine detail is very good thanks to the sharp lens.

The lens produces significant barrel distortion at wide angle, but no worse than most other long-zoom compacts.

Centre sharpness is very good, although again the over-sharpening is noticeable.

----



Corner sharpness is excellent, with negligible chromatic aberration.
