So the Panasonic HDC-TM350 takes an already winning formula and makes it even better. Sadly, Panasonic only plans to sell a few hundred TM350s in the UK, after which the model will be discontinued, and you can only buy them in Panasonic stores. If you can get your hands on one, and are looking for the best 'prosumer' camcorder currently on the market, we suggest you buy the TM350. But the improvements over the TM300 are not so great that you should feel aggrieved if you have to settle for the latter instead.Read full review
Here in Germany the HDC-TM350 is on general sale in all the usual outlets, but for an eye-watering €1499! It's had similarly great reviews but, as here, the not-so-great-leap-for-camerakind over the HDC-TM300 (not available here!) is pointed out the price difference between this and the HDC-SD300, which records to memory cards as it has no in-built hard drive and is €400 cheaper, makes the latter a more obvious choice. Why there is no HDC-TM300 here I don't know. Maybe it will come or the HDC-TM350 will be downpriced sometime. I suppose this is where internet shopping comes into play.
Panasonic UK clearly has a different opinion to Panasonic D as to what sells. Add 64GB of SD cards to the SD300 and the TM350 does become a more attractive proposition, but that initial €1499 is a lot to swallow, especially these days. I think the UK range covers the bases better and the TM350 is also quite a bit cheaper in the UK too.
your opinion is very important to me..I have the money, so should i buy this one or a canon? which is the best hd canon? is there any better hd consumer than the s11? please help!
