Bring on the WebOS 2.0 devices and bring them soon. Hope they include an SDXC slot to, basic value adding feature.

" thanks in part to Palm's recent financial problems and subsequent buyout by HP, the WebOS platform is on shaky ground and development for it has been slow"

i think the takeover by hp was the best thing that could have happend to palm and webos 2.0(i hope finaly with flash) is announced for the end of the year.

if you look for a good price, you can get it for around 250€ in germany

How is the speed of the Palm Pixi Plus and memory?

Many people complained that the Pixi was almost unusuable vs. the Palm Pre because it was very slow to execute and switch apps, mainly usable only for the built in PIM suite and that's it.

"Is it the WebOS device we've all been waiting for?"

Unfortunately it's the device most of us neither knew was coming - nor cared less ....

HP sooo wasted their money ......

I dunno - WebOS 1.x on an cheap underpowered handset is one thing... but WebOS2 on some cutting edge HP hardware in tablet/netbook form (and read/write support for a wide range of flash cards and USB + Bluetooth peripherals) could make for a juicey proposition.

@Castalan:

I'm with Bailey's_Coffee on this one. With HP's backing I could really see WebOS taking off, joining iOS and Android (oh, and Win Phone 7 I suppose ;) as a serious competitor in the mobile space.

Well only time will tell ... I guess my point was if you ask the average man in the phone shop if he had been waiting eagerly for this he'd look at you blankly. The article implied otherwise. ;)
