The mju 1000 captures colour beautifully. Even though this was in the shade, the colours are rich and well saturated, without being over-exposed.

The exposure metering system produces lots of shadow detail and copes well with high contrast shots.

Although it suffers from chromatic aberration and blurry corners, at least the lens doesn’t produce much spherical distortion at wide angle.
