The level of detail is very good, in fact among the best for 8MP cameras.

The 5x zoom lens produces relatively little barrel distortion at wide angle, but there was significant pincushion distortion at the telephoto end.

Centre sharpness is very good.

----



Corner sharpness is pretty good as well, only falling off in the extreme corner of the frame.
