My wife is badgering me into getting her one of these. With 4 kids she thinks she'd find it useful to keep track of football training, dance lessons, doctors appointments etc. I'm holding out because of the lack of integration with google calender. I'd find it a lot more useful if I could pick my iPod Touch up in the morning and be able to check my calender to find out who I need to ship where and at what time. I have a tendency to think that buying a netbook for a similar price may offer all these features (albeit without the fancy touchscreen interface) with a lot more besides.

So what are the hacking capabilities like?

Can you, for example, put your own OS on it?

Would be cool to use as a home automation controller, or even a sat nav device in the car.

If this is the same thing as the openpeak openframe device - is it possible to install openpeak applications on it? I notice that they have applications that sync with google calendar. Also.. anyone know how easy it is to write apps for the openpeak platform?

I'm wondering what would be your advice? i'm looking for something in the livingroom that would function like a calendar and all the other stuff this thing has. But I'm not sure if it would be better to just get a netbook? I would appreciate your advice. (and I won't sue you ;) )

BTW, nice review!

O yes, I forgot to ask if it is possible to use it in the Netherlands? or would the text messages be cancelled?

Hi there

Need some advice, I am after something like the Joggler, but am on the Three network, and was hoping to get one under the OPenpeak brand but cannot find anywhere which sells them. Any ideas???
