With a wide-angle end equivalent to 38mm, the L5 isn't much good for panoramic landscapes, but it does have a panorama stitching feature.

The telephoto end of the 5x optical zoom range is equivalent to 190mm, quite handy for pulling in distant details but not up to superzoom standards.

Colour rendition and exposure are good under normal lighting conditions.
