I am looking to buy this great looking piece of equipment but my headphone socket is on the bottom front edge of my laptop (Sony Vaio). Can anyone tell me if I will still be able to access this when the laptop is on the stand. I need the headphones for my work.

It doesn't seem right to say that any Logitech wireless mouse can be used with the Alto. Certainly the wireless mouse from my Logitech Wave Pro does not work with Alto. I believe there are different frequencies of wireless connection. Exactly which mice, if any, are compatible with Alto?

I like a product called Laptop Smart Feet. They work as a riser and a cable organizer. Found them at www.newpcgadgets.com

Like many of Logitech's products, the Alto is not cheap, but then the old adage that you get what you pay for really does apply here, and is backed up by a healthy five year warranty. The Alto offers an appealing combination of complete wireless freedom (though a mouse costs extra), striking black looks and superb ergonomics, meaning you'll never want to go back to using your laptop without one.
