Thanks, John. I too like the concept of built-in Freeview+ in a TV. I wonder the PG6900 suffers from the same exasperating problem which plagues the LT75. On the LT75, when one is watching a live TV channel or a previously-recorded programme and one has scheduled a recording on another channel, the LT75 switches to the channel where that scheduled recording is about to take place and takes one away from the channel one is watching or the programme one has recorded. Would you have a chance to test this?
Well i bought this set for my mum yesterday, the freeview picture is pretty damn good puts my sony 40d3000 to shame anyway and the tv is great looking and easy to use.@ sjgreene above, it does do what you say the lt75 does when about to record but once it goes to the channel to be recorded and starts recording you can watch whatever channel you want.I did notice slight image retetntion when i first turned the tv on while it tunes the channels because the set is set to uber bright default settings and you cannot change this till its finished tuning but ive turned the contrast and brightness down to 50% to run it in for 200 hours as people seem to recommend it and i dont notice image burn at all now.All in all my mums thrilled with the tv which was my main goal and im quite impressed with it too for 𧼕 that i paid for it.
