Hi

Only partly on topic here, but have you guys ever considered reviewing camera lens? I'm trying to find a decent wide-angle lens, but decent reviews are few and far between...

Also there's the more scientific side of things very well covered at; http://www.photozone.de/ and there's also a fair bit on http://www.dpreview.com/.

Personally I like the Fred Miranda ones as they are 'in the field' user reviews.

I have considered doing lens tests, and Riyad and I have discussed it several times, but I don't have the budget for the expensive optical testing software needed, nor do I have the space in my flat for the permanent studio that I'd need to ensure consistent and accurate results. If either of those factors changes then I'll reconsider.

The Kodak EasyShare C180 is about average for a current low-cost 3x zoom compact. It's fairly well made, very easy to use and comfortable to handle, but it lacks many of the useful features of models costing not much more. However the very poor picture quality and non-existent low light performance are the real deciding factors.
