As ever the all important question is: "would I be willing to spend £60 of my own money on a pair of these earphones" and with the Klipsch Image S4s the answer is yes. Despite a few shortfalls, the S4s are definitely still worth their price tag.
They definitely will stay in your ears while running. That's sure for at least 2 of the included plugs. The third one probably too but they won't fit my ears.
For the sound quality I would give 9/10. I replaced my sennheiser ones with those and the difference is obvious. I feel like I bought some £200+ earplugs.
In the Netherlands these are about 70 euro (/1.33 in pounds). I personally had 'till a few weeks ago the Philips 9850. Now I've got the Shure SE102's; all about 70 euro here.
The difference between those two is easy to point out:
Philips: Overly clean sound in high end, very broad soundsstage on lower muddy end. Very little distortion whatsoever. Foam eartips make it usable for 4+ hour periods.
Shure's: Positioning defenitly prevails, along with a very solid high end, low end sometimes distorts (WHHYYY :( ). No foam, but earpieces did my ears very good with the average tips. Overal nice detail and natural sound.
Cnet states the Image S4's are way better than anything in the price range. I'm not a fan of Cnet, but it's something to consider. If i wasn't studying though; I would safe some cash and get a dual-driven set instead.
