Just over four hours is an excellent result. Nearly 40 minutes longer than the Samsung, which was no slouch.
You could get as much five hours from the HP if you turned the brightness right down.
Three hours at maximum brightness is very good. Reducing brightness could mean DVD playback for as long as three and a half hours.
