@John: This isn't made clear (we'll remedy this in future reviews), but the cost per page is calculated with the addition of 0.7p per page of plain paper.

Thought that I should highlight something. This MFP while allowing for duplex copy/print, does not allow duplex scanning through the either TWAIN or WIA drivers on Windows. However the release of HPLIP 2.8.10 supports duplex scanning on Linux. I felt pretty odd when we ordered this MFP (without the stapler option M2727nf) and found support for duplex scanning missing. But since the bulk of our work is on Linux is does not matter. I hope HP brings in support for duplex scanning on Windows.

There's quite a bit to commend the LaserJet M2727nfs, which has good paper handling, including the innovative stapler, and prints and copies quickly. Print quality is good, unless you are copying greyscales, when it's awful. It looks like it could also do with extra memory when reproducing high-res images.
