I've found the build quality and reliability of HP printers over the last year or so to be awful, only matched in dreadfulness by the levels of customer support.
I love you all, but this has to be the dullest weekend ever on TR. There was so little content. What happened to the Sunday editorials? And it might be my imagination, but it feels like a trend too.
@SRS: Are you talking printers of this calibre or little £40 inkjets because the latter are next to useless whichever make you go for whereas all the half decent HPs I've had have lasted very well.
@Moche: We have for the most part dropped editorials unless done on a voluntary basis because we need all our man power for reviews. Some of the editorial staff are tied up in a lot of internal meetings at the moment so finding time for extra content is difficult. Hopefully we'll be back to full strength soon.
I've had one of these for a couple of months now, and it's great. Bit slow, but in a mixed environment of Windows and Linux it works well: I just tell all PCs (irrespective of OS) that the printer is generic PS and leave it at that. No faffing around with drivers. Then user the web-interface to it to do any admin.
