The Genius G-Shot P831 is a very cheap camera, and ultimately you get what you pay for. While in good light with nearby subjects it can turn in a reasonable average snapshot, its slow performance, extremely poor autofocus system, low quality optics, underpowered flash and heavy handed compression and noise reduction mean that good quality photos are beyond its capabilities. If you are aware of these limitations and still want a camera for under £70, go ahead and buy it.

I know this is 'ultra-cheap', but it's still 65 quid, and for that it seems like an absolute rip-off. I would argue you dont get what you pay for at all. I quick trip to amazon reveals you can pick up a samsung S1070 10mp cam for 68 quid, and that was literally the first sub-100 camera on the very front page of the digital cameras section. I dont know the samsung is any better, but it demonstrates there is a lot more to choose from at this price point, and plenty of well-known brands too. This G-Shot thing seems awesomely bad.
