Nicely judged review: 7/10 on Image Quality and 7/10 overall is an excellent start. Why did Fuji, who can produce far better image quality, bother developing this one? Likewise, why did they bother with those huge ISO possibilities at all?

I don't own a Fuji, and have not done so for many years, but I always thought a Fuji would be a dead cert for good Image Quality for the money. From now on I will be much more careful before advising the purchase of a Fuji before you review it.

Painful point: The English of this review is awful. That's as new to me as is poor IQ/money on a Fuji. We each have bad day's and writing have it's pit-falls... But that takes little away from such a useful review.

Just a quick point: aperture priority only offers two setting: f2.8 and f8, which I felt was a con.

Something tells me this is a poor translation of a poor review originally written in German. Am I close? And Matt's job was to knock the sentences into some kind of order just to prevent them being pure garbage?

Judge not eh?

Was going to get this camera, but I think I'm gonna go for the Panasonic FZ38 as there doesn't seem to be any camera that can beat its picture quality.

The Fuji S2500HD is a well built, decent looking camera which is extremely straightforward to use. It’s a shame the image stabilisation and colour gamut isn’t quite up to spec with the rest, as the image quality is the only real fly in the ointment. Read full review
