Epson SX600FW - AKA Junk
I'm not one for leaving reviews for anything if I can help it, but I feel that if someone can be put off buying this model printer, my job is done. Setup was easy and while the print quality was not brilliant, it was pretty quick and did the job it was intended to do. After about 4 months, I started getting problems with lines appearing on printouts, a few cleaning cycles cured these at first. During the next 2 months I spent more time trying to get this ill conceived printer to print properly than I have ever done with any printer I have owned. Cleaning cycle after cycle, still no joy, also every other cycle it would not recognise the carts, so these had to be removed and replaced, very frustrating. It takes a lot of ink for this game, so nearly 3 complete sets later, still not printing properly. Searching on the WEB produced many, many other cases of this printer having blocked heads, so avoid this turkey like the plague. If you have already bought this printer, then as soon as it starts missing chunks out of your prints, just save youself a lot of hassle and drop it in the bin. Epson are making a fortune on exorbitant ink prices, so they would like very much for you to keep it. I have always used genuine carts in thei piece of junk, I am an IT professional having worked on hundreds of printers from line printers to the very first inkjets through to the latest lasers.
