Hi,





I have just read your review on Edimax 11n wireless adaptor EW-7718Un which you rate 8 out of 10. I bought this adaptor a few weeks ago and I am not happy with it at all. It's just been replaced with a brand new one but there is still no improvement in performance.





I find the adaptor to be slower than my 11g adaptor (Edimax EW7317UG) even when located a couple of metres from the router (Edimax 11n router BR 6504n). Also when I use it in my garden at a distance of about 20 metres away from router the signal strength drops significantly and although the speed is claimed to be something like 81 mbps the connection is still slower than my 11g.





The adaptor is plugged into my ACER Aspire 1355.





Do you know the reason for this poor speed and range performances and how this can be rectified?
