can someone tell me what the F1 key and the FN on the Dell 1555 Studio Laptop is supposed to do. The bookllet supplied with the Laptop does not explain. Dell have not replied to the questions sent to them

I have this machine. It looks nice. If it worked it would be nicer. Motherboard went first after clicking noise from inside. After repair and new M'Board the machine has "lost" Audio Drivers so no sound. (Creative SoundBlaster Xfi MB Software Suite) Machine is Win 7). It has also lostr all Internet connection. Oh, yes, and Dell "support" is not open at the weekend so I will loose time at work speaking to them. Yes this laptop looks nice. But if I wanted something that looks nice I would have purchased a painting.

Don’t bother with Dell bought this model 6 months ago, had to have two motherboards

complete set of speakers, then sent away for further repairs, came back worse, Dell technical

If you buy the Dell Studio 1555 from your local hardware emporium you won't be disappointed, it's fundamentally a very good laptop with especially good battery life. However, if you're really keen on it, it's worth checking with Dell first to see if you can't get a little more bang for your buck.
