Looking at its spec sheet, the X-Fi is a highly impressive player. It's absolutely crammed with features - some useful, some not - has good storage capacity and its memory expandability allows it to challenge even some hard disk-based players. Sound quality is also good, as are the included headphones. However, the whole package just feels lacking. The styling is sub-par, the storage expansion is poorly implemented, and what extras there are, many people will never use. Essentially, if you value video and sound quality, then go for the X-Fi but if you just want a stylish easy to use mp3 player then you'd be better off with the Apple nano.
