Despite a few issues, CoolerMaster's CM 690 II Advanced is a worthy successor to its popular predecessor, offering a great combination of features, looks and build quality for the price.
Nice review. Its a great little case but I don't agree with the value part. Simply because CoolerMaster are victim of their own success. At around £70, the CoolerMaster Storm Scout has all the features present in CM 690 II barring watercooling support and x-drive. It is much better looking than the CM 690 II, a button to switch off all the case lights, has transparent side window (most enthusiasts like to show off) and a handle on top (useful during lan parties).
Actually, the Storm Scout is one I've been wanting to get a look at, as the handle appeals since I move my PC around quite a bit. On the other hand, most people don't tend to move their PCs around too much (LAN parties are not as popular as they once were) and with water-cooling becoming ever more prevalent and affordable it's a nice feature to have.
Last but not least, X-dock is one of our favourite features about this case!
