Canon PowerShot A540 - Test Shots - Exposure Evaluation

By Cliff Smith

Our Score:

The multi-zone evaluative metering has coped well with the wide tonal range of this shot, although there is some blue fringing around the leaves against the over-exposed sky.

The 4x zoom lens gives greater versatility for framing your shot, but with only seven steps between the widest and longest settings it lacks fine control.

This is a good compact digital camera of a good brand and has decent IQ and possibilities especially for a compact , since most compacts dont have P, M , A(v), T(v)(S) modes , this one does . I like that and the fact that it has 6mp wich is more tan enough for High Quality printing up to at least 20 x 30 cm

It is easy to use and not so heavy and still enough for a vacation or camera for in the car..
