Good value for money but the ink takes a long time to dry when printing. Bit of a pain if you are in a hurry.
you need the certain type of usb cord to use it, it doesnt come included wich i find to be complete junk, thanks canon for fucking me over once again.
I replaced both ink cartridges and now it will not print
This is a really crap printer if you only want to print occasionally, ie use as a home printer. The cartridges are not made to sit unused. Changed both cartridges two weeks ago and the print was ok at the time. But tried today and the print quality is crap no matter how often I clean the nozzles. No wonder they were selling them off so cheap. Mine was ~ £50 from Maplin and I feel ripped off if I'd paid the price quoted here I'd want top myself.
I've had this printer a couple of years and to be honest it's the worst printer I've ever bought (out of 3, the others were lexmark) It's so slow because it spends most of it's time cleaning itself and waiting and wondering when to print. I replaced the cartridges with a cheaper brand and since then it always shows ink empty even if I replace with Canon brand. when it flashes up "both cartridges empty, press cancell to continue to print document" I pressed it for over 10 secs and was able to carry on using it for 3 weeks after, so just because it says empty, don't believe it. All in all this is crap, buy cheap get cheap, I going back to Lexmark.
I haven't owned too many printers to compare with, but this one does the job and it's quite rarely used, but that's true you have to wait a bit until it's ready. Not a problem for me.
What's the best printer for you?
