Canon IXUS 105 - Test Shots - ISO Performance
Over the next few pages we show a range of test shots. On this page the full size image at the minimum and maximum ISO settings have been reduced to let you see the full image, and a series of full resolution crops have taken from original images at a range of ISO settings to show the overall image quality. These pictures were taken indoors using shaded natural light.
This is the full frame at minimum ISO.
The image quality at 80 ISO is very good, with plenty of fine detail.
Still no problems at 100 ISO.
Some very fine grained noise at 200 ISO, but the overall quality is still very good.
Slightly more fine noise at 400 ISO, but the image is still quite printable.
Noise reduction has reduced fine detail at 800 ISO, but colour is still good.
At 1600 ISO there's no fine detail left, but the image could still be OK for small formats like email.
This is the full frame at 1600 ISO.
