Hi James.I'm no expert in camcorders and this is actually the first time I'm going to buy one. I like my gadgets being at semi-pro or slightly below - even dough skills don't always match ambitions. Now I went to a store to do some "tire kicking" and compared the HG20 and the HG21 - except the larger memory the biggest difference is the quality of the LCD display - which is evidently better in HG21. That together with the larger memory makes me favor the HG21. The HG20 LCD gives me a feeling of "cheap" compact (still-image) camera, while the HG21 is at Nikon D300 level.
Hi James:This is the first time I read your reviews. They help me a lot. Please advise me which canon camcorder I should buy. I like Canon HG21 but it's rather expensive. I like one camcorder which can work well in low light. Thank you.
