BenQ DC X600 - Test Shots - Exposure Evaluation

BenQ DC X600

Our Score:

With a flash as powerful as the one on the X600, I have no idea why the exposure system would feel the need to push the sensitivity up to 400 ISO for a shot like this, resulting in a lot of image noise.

The same shot but taken using forced flash, which is powerful enough to fill in the shadows on the tree despite the bright sunlight coming the other way.

The X600 uses the same improved Sliding Lens System as the Optio S6, which produces much less barrel distortion, although there is still some curvature visible in this shot.

Can you still recommend this camera (bearing in mind it's current price of 㿤.01 on Amazon)? My choice is between X600, Benq DC E1000 (but now can't find it online - a couple of weeks ago it was 䀂) or Casio Exilim EX-Z1080. I am a first-time digital camera user and really want a point & shoot camera, but one that takes really good photos.
