Do not buy this product if you want a reliable pc to last more than 18 months, or be prepared to pay extortionate repair bills with Apple.

I have an iMac 20" that i paid 𨁭.00 in September 2007. The screen started to fail so I took it to my local Apple retailer, they inspected it and I was told that the Motherboard had gone and the repair bill would be 𧸱.20!!!

Is it worth it - NO - I will just buy an everage laptop - NOT Apple and go from there. Apple are not interested and basically said it was 6 months out of warranty and they couldn't help.

You would expect such a premium brand as Apple to last a lot longer than this and that such a major part of the pc would be more reliable!!

My son bought a 2 year old Imac, and after about a year vertical lines started to appear. Then a sort of green grid appeared. Repair cost said to be approx £400. If iMacs are to be marketed as premium products, then Apple should "put its money where its mount is" and include a 3 or 5 year guarantee.

That's funny. I have the aforementioned iMac (circa 2006/2007) and haven't had a single issue with it in 7-8 years!
