Here’s how to bring the iPhone X’s worst feature to your Android phone

You don’t actually need to spend £999 to get your hands on the iPhone X’s most distinctive features.

One crafty developer has made an app that brings the tenth anniversary Apple smartphone’s awkward-looking notch to Android handsets.

XOutOf10 creates a black space at the top of your screen to mimic the iPhone X’s camera cutout, and it exists purely to let you indulge in some top-notch trolling.

The developer explained the thinking behind the notch replicator like so: ‘You, the average Android user, probably had a laugh on Apple users about the new camera notch that covers the screen’s content. Well, you won’t pay $999 just to test it. And now, you don’t need to!’

If you’re tempted to simulate Apple’s new interface on your phone, you can download the app here. You’ll just need to be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow or above to get it going.

It’s your best chance to get a feel for what the iPhone X display is like before it lands on November 3, or just to poke fun at your Apple-adoring friends.
